STAR Off-Campus Training Request

Services STAR I - This 4.5 day training geared toward both personal and professional exploration invites participants to become more informed about trauma and resilience. Participants discover mental, physical and spiritual responses to trauma and resources for addressing trauma and builing resilience in self and society. 2-day specialized workshop - Potential specialized workshops include Healing Historical Harms, dealing with the wounds of racism; Journey Home from War, addressing veterans' re-entry; or Youth STAR, which emerged from post-Hurrican Katrina work with teenagers. Youth STAR Invites teachers and educators to engage in STAR-based learning to deepen their work wtih young people in transcending cycles of violence. Half-day to 2-day introduction to STAR - For organizations and communities not yet ready to dive into the full 4.5 -day STAR training, a brief introduction (ranging from half a day to two days) can provide soe of the basics to help individuals and organizations become more trauma and resilience-informed Customized package - The STAR program has experience working in partnership with organizations to develop a trauma and resilience training package designed for the needs of a specific context or organization.
